The robotics team of Shoham High School. Since 2006 we have designed, built and programmed a new robot every year for the FIRST Robotics Competition — and mentored a whole town of young engineers along the way.

Who we are
A team, a workshop,
and six weeks
OnyxTronix #2231 was founded in 2006 and has competed in the FIRST Robotics Competition ever since. Every January we are handed a brand-new game — and six weeks to design, sketch, build and program a robot that can play it.
Fifty students work across four groups, guided by FIRST alumni and mentors from many fields. We are one of the leading teams in Israel and have represented the country at the World Championship in six seasons.

Our REBUILT machine. 38–7–0 in official play and 45–10–0 overall, ranked #2 in the FIRST Israel District on 288 points, and Galileo Division at the FIRST Championship as first pick of Alliance 4.

For Inspiration and Recognition
of Science and Technology
The FRC programme is part of FIRST — a non-profit organisation founded by Dean Kamen in 1989. Its goal is to get kids of every age interested in science, technology and engineering.
FIRST runs programmes in many countries for students from preschool through to twelfth grade, currently reaching some 650,000 students worldwide — about 17,000 of them in Israel.

We approached monday.com in 2021 to manage our own season. Seeing what the platform could do for FRC, we made it available to other teams in Israel — then took it to global FIRST.
